One-time setup: add your Google Maps API key

The booking page is wired up for live Google Maps with Places autocomplete, route preview, traffic layer, and dynamic distance-based fare. To turn it on, drop your API key into the GOOGLE_MAPS_API_KEY constant in book.html (near the bottom of the file). It's a one-line change.

  1. Go to the Google Cloud Console — Maps APIs and create a key.
  2. Enable these three APIs on your project: Maps JavaScript API, Places API, Directions API.
  3. Restrict the key to your domain (chauffeurs.club, *.chauffeurs.club, plus localhost for dev) so it can't be abused.
  4. Paste the key into book.html as const GOOGLE_MAPS_API_KEY = "AIza" — refresh the page, banner disappears, map goes live.
